Column 683
An Open Letter to Eddie Hearn
Dear Mr. Hearn,
With the utmost respect, I urge you – and the leadership at the Professional Darts Corporation – to consider inducting the late Houston Hartwell “Howie” Reed into the PDC Hall of Fame.
Over the course of his distinguished career covering the sport, Howie authored more than 1,000 columns. I had the privilege of editing 475 of them beginning in May 2010. Nearly two-thirds of his work focused on PDC events and players.
Howie was among the most passionate advocates the PDC has ever had. I believe those who knew him, followed his work, or were touched by his deep appreciation for the sport would agree that his contributions merit serious consideration for this honor.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Paul Seigel

Great idea Paul. Howie truly deserve to be inducted into the PDC HALL OF FAME. Lets spread the word & hopefully get a ton of responses for COACH.
Indeed, Houston Hartwell “Howie” Reed was a unique promoter of the sport of darts through his columns for more than 40 years.
Sincerely,

I fully endorse the notion that Houston Hartwell (Howie) Reed II should be considered by the PDC for induction into their Hall of Fame. Howie was a staunch advocate for darts in the USA and globally and was known by many in the game for his enthusiasm and unwavering support of players and events. He was an organiser, a compare, a referee, MC, a player and a coach and his contribution spanned decades. He was instrumental, back in the early days of the ADO, in putting American darts on the map and I highly recommend his inclusion.
